Our story

Why PureHerb exists

PureHerb is a small studio in Paarl. We keep production tiny so the people who buy from us know exactly who blended their bottle, where the herbs were grown, and how the product was made.

Family roots

PureHerb began as one person making tinctures for Paarl neighbours. We still blend every batch with the same classic process.

Hands-on care

Herbal tinctures infuse for six weeks to maximize extraction. Every step stays in-house so the process can be checked and logged.

Local partnerships

Seasonal collaborations are built so fresh, organic herbs can be sourced from local farms.

Infusion window

6 weeks

Slow maceration for potency.

Local delivery

Paarl

Hand-delivered within the region.

1

Harvest & sort

We harvest in the early morning or source from nearby growers to keep aromatic oils intact.

2

Infuse & rest

Herbs steep slowly in food-grade alcohol or apple cider vinegar while we track each batch.

3

Blend & bottle

We strain, blend, and bottle in small runs, then label with batch notes.

Studio note

"We keep jars, labels, and harvest notes within arm's reach so every blend feels personal."

If you're local, we're happy to share what's in season or create a custom blend based on your needs.

Current focus

  • Nervine blends for sleep and stress support.
  • Immune teas for seasonal transitions.
  • Spice mixes for gentle metabolic support.

Quality checklist

  • Ingredients are sourced within 500 km or grown in our local garden beds.
  • Herbal tinctures infuse for six weeks to maximize herbal content extraction.
  • Infusions are bottled in 50 ml dark glass to protect from light degradation.
  • A dropper insert is added to enable easy use.
  • Each bottle is labeled with the exact herbs used, the blend date, and recommended dosage.

Sustainability in practice

Bring your bottles back for 10% off refills, or opt for doorstep delivery within the Paarl region so we can reuse the bottles. Once a month we host a free herb swap to keep unused ingredients in circulation.
